During my trip to Nanjing, I accidentally stumbled upon the Ganxi Former Residence. It was an unexpected and delightful experience. Later, I learned that this is the Ganxi Former Residence. The Ganxi Former Residence in Nanjing city was built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It is commonly known as the 'Ninety-nine and a half rooms' and is the largest and most complete ancient residence building still existing in Chinese cities. This place features the characteristics of Jiangnan-style residential buildings, such as blue bricks, small tiles, corridors, and lattice windows. It also has the characteristics of multi-entry and through-hall residential buildings. Inside the folk museum, there are exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage, making it a worthwhile place to visit! Get off at Sanshan Street on Metro Line 1.
