Nanjing Ancient Jiming Temple

Jiming Temple is located on Jiming Mountain in Xuanwu District, Nanjing, and has a history of more than 1,700 years. It is one of the oldest Buddhist temples and royal temples in Nanjing, with a continuous flow of incense. During the Southern Dynasties, it was as famous as Qixia Temple and Dingshan Temple. The founder of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang, rebuilt the temple and inscribed 'Jiming Temple'. During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, Jiming Temple was destroyed by war and was rebuilt during the Tongzhi period. It is now a nunnery. The north gate of the temple leads directly to the ancient city wall. In front of the main gate is a narrow cherry blossom path, and there is a vegetarian restaurant at the east gate with mediocre taste. Parking here is very troublesome. Many young people come to offer incense. Jiming Temple in the drizzling rain is very beautiful.
