When you visit Nan'ao Island, you will see many white wind turbines used for power generation. Nan'ao Island is the largest island wind farm in Asia. Among them, the wind turbines on Wind Turbine Hill are located at the highest point. It is situated in the Guolao Mountain Range on the east peninsula of Nan'ao Island, featuring a landscape where white wind turbines contrast with the blue sky, clear sea, and green mountains. From the No. 42 Wind Turbine Viewing Platform, you can overlook the entire island. When you drive up Wind Turbine Hill and stand beneath the rotating turbines, you can feel the sea breeze and hear the sound of the blades cutting through the air. When we arrived, the weather was great, with blue skies, white clouds, and white wind turbines among the green mountains creating beautiful scenes. In Zoumapu Village, southwest of Shen'ao Town on Nan'ao Island, there is a sea area called Rainbow Sea under the wind turbines. There is an oyster ecological farming base there. The "Rainbow Sea" farming area covers 25,000 mu and is one of the largest large-scale oyster farming bases in Guangdong Province. Here, colored floating balls made of new environmentally friendly materials such as PET are used to fix and suspend the oysters, replacing the previously used polystyrene white foam floating balls that easily caused white pollution. This method is both environmentally friendly and improves the yield and quality of the oysters. The colorful floating balls have also become a scenic attraction for visitors. This also forms a modern industrial development: wind power generation + marine ranching. The integrated development of marine ranching and offshore wind power is an innovative industrial model that achieves coordinated development of energy production and fishery farming by sharing marine spatial resources, with significant economic benefits and environmental effects.
