A Historical Journey to Yi Sun-sin in Namhae [Namhae Iraksa]

During the May holiday, I visited Iraksa, the shrine dedicated to Admiral Yi Sun-sin, with my child while visiting my hometown in Namhae. Having grown up in Namhae County and attended elementary, middle, and high school there, I have fond memories of drawing as a child and often representing my school in art competitions. Iraksa's lawn was one of the places where I used to draw, making it a nostalgic spot for me. Since I grew up surrounded by cultural relics related to Yi Sun-sin, reading books and watching movies about him, I feel a deeper connection and affection when visiting such sites. Iraksa Admiral Yi Sun-sin, with only 12 ships, defended our nation's waters at Noryang through his brilliant crane-wing formation strategy. The weight of his courage and strength can be felt at Iraksa. Visiting again with my child, I created new memories at this meaningful place. Wishing you a happy journey in Namhae County. Goodbye!
