The interior of the cafe isn't particularly spacious, and the chairs are somewhat firm, so unless the weather is extremely hot or cold, it might be nice to stay outside. That said, the interior design, which preserves the charm of a traditional hanok, is truly elegant. The drinks and castella we ordered have arrived. Three slices of castella for 5,000 KRW seems like a pretty reasonable price. The iced Americano was rich and enjoyable, but the yuja castella pairs better with yuja beverages. Today, I chose yuja ade, but next time I visit, I’d like to try the yuja juice. Cafe Yuja’s signature menu is the yuja castella. The yuja castella is priced at 5,000 KRW per plate and 14,000 KRW per box (12,000 KRW with a local resident discount). The castella is kneaded and baked directly at the cafe, which might explain why it tastes so good. Compared to other cafes, the variety of drinks isn’t extensive, but the signature items like yuja tea, yuja juice, and yuja ade are so appealing that it doesn’t seem to matter.
