Nagoya Suburban 2-Day 1-Night Travel Itinerary

Starting at Incheon Airport, boarding the flight to Nagoya at 7:05 AM. The flight departs on time at 7:30 AM. I take a nap during the flight. Landing 5 minutes early at around 9:25 AM, I quickly make my way through the fast track and arrive at Chubu Airport Station by 9:30 AM.😎 At 9:37 AM, I leisurely board the μ-SKY train. However, there seems to be an incident at Kanayama Station causing delays in both directions, resulting in a turtle-paced journey. I arrive at Meitetsu Nagoya Station about 18 minutes late. Initially, I planned to leave the airport early to collect the Kanie City manhole card, but I quickly gave up on that idea. Instead, I purchased my routine Lotto 6/7 tickets and participated in the Hokkaido Fair. At 12 PM, I joined the first session of the Nagoya Castle Afternoon Tea. They host two sessions daily at 12 PM and 2:30 PM, accommodating five groups per session. I had been informed in advance that a minimum of two people is required to make a reservation, so I paid for two and enjoyed it solo. Many places don't allow this kind of arrangement. The sandwiches were delightful, and the hotel facilities were incredibly luxurious. The basic room rate starts at 200,000 yen per night, and the hotel offers a stunning view of Nagoya Castle with gold-plated decor. I also visited the newly installed Nagoya Pokémon manhole. Thus, the first day in Nagoya ended with a relaxing stay at the hotel, where I fell asleep enjoying the luxurious atmosphere. The next day, I woke up at 6 AM and started the morning with an onsen bath. At 6:45 AM, I joined breakfast. Since I booked a room-only special plan, I applied for breakfast on-site. The breakfast offered a choice between Western and Japanese styles, complemented by a mini buffet. The cost was 5,000 yen. I chose the Japanese style, which included sashimi and incredibly tender grilled fish, leaving me very satisfied. I checked out at 7:30 AM and headed to Inuyama Castle Town, which was about an 8-minute walk from the hotel. I captured the serene scenery with no one around. I also discovered all the Inuyama manholes I had missed before. Then, I moved to Meitetsu Komaki Station. The tourist information center opens at 9 AM, but I arrived around 8:40 AM and enjoyed a morning matcha cream frappuccino. It was, as always, delicious. This completed my triangular route of Inuyama-Komaki-Iwakura. I prefer a one-stroke travel style to minimize time wasted on the road. I visited Urakuen, a hidden gem. It's a very small Japanese-style garden that takes about 5 minutes to walk around, but every corner exudes the essence of Japan. It truly felt like "This is Japan! This is a national treasure!" The tea house is usually available for use, but I skipped it due to my next schedule. However, the great weather added to the experience, making it feel like heaven. This unplanned visit, decided the night before during check-in, turned out to be a moment of great joy. At 3:30 PM, I headed to Nagoya Station. I quickly completed all the shopping requests within 30 minutes at the station and took the μ-SKY train to the airport, arriving early at 4:50 PM. My flight was scheduled to depart at 7:15 PM, so I arrived 2 hours and 25 minutes early by my standards. Although this airport allows for check-in even 40 minutes before departure, I arrived much earlier to visit the newly opened Thai lounge. I had to send off the minibar items I took from the first-day hotel as checked luggage, but there was a line of about 40 people, so I went up to the 4th floor first. I enjoyed the observation deck after a long time and browsed the shops, purchasing a limited-edition Monchhichi x Hello Kitty item that caught my eye. When I returned 20 minutes later, the line had reduced to 10 people. I checked in my luggage and entered the duty-free area within 5 minutes, heading straight to the lounge. The lounge was located next to the Korean Air lounge. Inside, there was only one staff member and one other guest, making it very quiet. The Thai and Japanese dishes were well-balanced. They offered two types of Suntory draft beer and Jim Beam highballs, so I enjoyed three drinks. I paired the drinks with pad thai, vegetable curry, shrimp, fried rice, tamago salad, soba, edamame salad, and tamagoyaki. The draft beer was perfectly poured, making it easy to drink. As a result, my face turned red, and I felt a bit tipsy. It was a delightful 2-day, 1-night trip to Nagoya. Thank you.
