Booking a stay here comes with the perk of accessing the Espacio Lounge. The afternoon tea time caught my attention with its intriguing concept, perfectly suited to my taste, so I had been eyeing the opportunity to book it. However, with prices generally around 50,000 yen, I was waiting for the right moment. Finally, I found a special deal and made a reservation, eagerly anticipating the afternoon tea experience. Coincidentally, during the same month, Espacio Nagoya Castle also opened, so I visited their afternoon tea first on the same day before heading to the lounge as my next schedule. It felt similar to enjoying afternoon tea at Signiel Seoul and then heading to the Lotte Hotel World Club Lounge for another session an hour later. Over the years, I’ve experienced afternoon tea times in club rooms dozens of times both domestically and internationally. In most cases, desserts were served buffet-style, and only a handful of places offered them on separate trays. However, this lounge provides a self-serve buffet with a variety of desserts and savory items, along with a three-tier tray for use. Following a certain etiquette, I filled the bottom tier with savory items, the middle tier with fruits, and the top tier with sweets. I completed the plate with champagne and tea, enjoying the process. The window seats with a great view added to the charm of the experience. The process felt like participating in an ABC cooking class or a flower arrangement workshop, adding a touch of fun. As a seasoned participant with about 380 sessions under my belt, I quickly and efficiently arranged my plate, catching the attention of the staff who gave me a thumbs-up in admiration. However, that was the highlight. Honestly, the afternoon tea at the original Espacio, which I visited earlier, was so exceptional that I was already full after having two servings there. Moreover, the desserts here didn’t quite meet my expectations in terms of taste. Despite that, the unlimited champagne, excellent view, and pleasant lounge atmosphere made the experience enjoyable. The act of plating my own food was satisfying in itself, making it a memorable and valuable moment. Thank you for the special experience.
