You can make a round trip from Lhasa in one day. ⭕In winter, the lake freezes, and the ice bubbles and cracks form a chaotic natural pattern. The lake is connected to a glacier, which is very impressive. ⭕In early February, the lake surface has partially melted, and the visual effect is not as good as in January. It is not recommended to step on the ice, and the staff will remind you to be careful because the ice is melting. It is recommended to visit in early January. ⭕The wind will pick up after noon, so it is recommended to leave Lhasa early in the morning and arrive before noon when the light is softer. ⭕The altitude is over 4,800 meters, so don't run or jump. ⭕You need to apply for a border pass in advance (we applied for one, but it was not checked along the way).
