The Niigata Prefectural Museum of History

This museum is full of exhibits and research on the Jomon period, and is filled with artifacts excavated from within the prefecture. There are so many earthenware exhibition corners that it will take you about 30 minutes to browse them slowly. It seems like a separate museum could be built with the earthenware tound only here. Flame-shaped pottery has been discovered mainly in the Shinano River basin in Niigata Prefecture. This is a large-scale exhibit unique to Niigata, with approximately 90 pieces of flame pottery whose almost complete shapes can be seen, and 162 pattern samples.
