A Healing Half-Day Tour in Nadi, Fiji: An Immersive Experience

Transportation: Taxis from the airport to the center of Nadi town typically cost around 20 dollars. For the return trip to the airport, you can expect to pay about 15 dollars. Don't hesitate to negotiate for a better rate. Nadi Market: This semi-outdoor market is a treasure trove of tropical fruits and seafood. Just across the street, you'll find a craft market specializing in bamboo and wood products. It's an excellent spot to delve into the local culture, admire the unique "upright taro," and experience the friendly greetings of the locals with "Bula Bula." Shambhala Hanuman Temple: As the largest Hindu temple in the South Pacific, it houses statues of Hindu gods, including Ganesh and Shiva. The detailed and lifelike sculptures are a favorite among photographers. With a substantial Indian immigrant community in Fiji, Indian religion and cuisine are well-integrated into the local scene. The temple is surrounded by numerous attractions, hotels, and dining options. Transportation Tips: - The cultural village is about 1 km from the Shambhala Hanuman Temple. - Nadi town is approximately 4 km away from the temple. - Wailailai Beach is also about 4 km from the Shambhala Hanuman Temple. Dining: Fiji's seafood is both affordable and delectable. A must-try is the coconut crab innards steamed egg, which I consider the best steamed egg I've ever had! Other seafood dishes like humphead wrasse and prawns are so reasonably priced that skipping them would be a missed opportunity. Be sure to also sample the local breadfruit.
