❤️ LIMONE - ITALY 🩵

You can easily reach #limone from Malcesine, the ferry is only €9 round trip and that way you can see two places at once. There is enough time for both in one day. If you want cheaper or quieter, you need to come on the road by bus, passing through #torbole and #riva (north-east side of the lake) or going up from #salo (west side). For this option, don't forget to download your ATV and Arriva applications. There you can find timetables, prices and routes for the entire Lake Garda area. The town is nestled in the mountains, so that until a few decades ago it was not easily connected to the other towns on the lake. Limone still retains the soul of the small village, whose main activities until the last century were fishing, olive growing and the cultivation of lemons. A curious fact: the name Limone (lit. lemon) does not derive from the cultivation, but from the Latin limen, or border; this was in fact the city on the border with the territory of Trento. It is by pure coincidence that, centuries later, lemons have become one of the main businesses of the area. Ready to start your tour? Here’s the best things to do in Limone del Garda! Among the streets of the center you can breathe the authentic atmosphere of a village with a millenary history, among old houses, alleys, shops, taverns, bars and restaurants, and from time to time the eye falls on a flowered balcony that is reflected in the crystal clear water of the lake. If you walk through the centre of Limone, you can visit the church of San Benedetto Abate, whose origin dates back to the 10th century, as well as that of San Rocco, hidden in the alleys of the village at the top of a staircase and embellished with 16th century frescoes. Also worth a visit is the Fishermen’s Museum, which talks about Limone sul Garda before its secular isolation was interrupted by the Gardesana State Road in the 1930s. If you want to relax, take a stroll in the park of Villa Boghi, seat of the Municipality, which houses a lemon house and several species of citrus and exotic plants. The park of Villa Boghi is open every day from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm. If you are in Limone sul Garda on Tuesday morning, do not forget to take a trip to the weekly market in the village: a great opportunity to buy local products, such as lemons, olive oil, wine and cheese, at a good price! #placetosee #stunningbeach #londontrip #beachparty #boracaytrip #bangkoktrip #beijingtrip #topbeach #placetosee #stunningbeach #londontrip #beachparty #boracaytrip #bangkoktrip #beijingtrip #tokyotrip #shenzhentrip #sanyatrip #newyortrip #hangzhoutrip #beachlovers #topbeach #placetovisit #bestbeach #travel #perfectbeach ¹ ¹
