Not a high rise city

Hotel D'Europe is a grand dame hotel in the heart of Minsk. It is situated in an area overlooking the main park of the city. The park has a lake and is popular with families when the weather gets warmer during the summer months. Near to the hotel is the GUM Department store. This store is old fashioned the way it is set up but, once you have found your way around, it is where you can buy souvenirs at a reasonable price.
