The shrine itself isn't large and often crowded. There's no shrine office, and there weren't any other people there when I visited. It was very quiet and peaceful, but I couldn't stay long because there wasn't much else to do after paying my respects. Because it's flanked by residential areas, the buildings obscure the view, and the slope makes it difficult to photograph the torii gates at the base of the shrine, as they're always partially obscured. In short, if you have an hour or two to spare in Mihara and don't know where to go, you might want to stop by, but I suspect some people might find it a bit empty if you make a special trip.
