Rich Peony Sanyi Pavilion - A Must-Visit in April 2025

The Rich Peony Sanyi Pavilion in Miaoli County's Sanyi Township is a must-visit destination in April 2025. This marks my third visit to the Rich Peony Sanyi Pavilion, and every time I travel to Taipei, whether heading north or south, I make sure to reserve a visit to admire the artistic creations housed here. Not only are the artworks highly captivating, but the overall design and layout of the park also keep drawing me back time and again. Since I didn’t dine here, my visit was limited to just over half an hour, making the schedule quite tight. Guided by the staff’s explanations, I gained a preliminary understanding of the park. From the entrance, every corner offers a delightful surprise. Turning a corner, you’ll find towering green bamboo lining the path, with an artwork standing ahead. As you prepare to walk through the bamboo grove, the breathtaking scenery captivates you, leaving you spellbound. It’s truly stunning and beautiful. The open-air ambiance is enchanting, and besides the standing artworks on the platform, there’s a pond and several other art pieces displayed nearby. Descending from the upper platform to the lower one, the visual impact is once again striking. The pond in front of the platform and the bamboo grove ahead create a scene reminiscent of a Japanese garden. Next, I entered the exhibition hall. Though the display area isn’t large, every piece is equally mesmerizing. Unfortunately, the short visit didn’t allow me to fully enjoy the exhibits before it was time to leave. If you dine here, you can freely explore the venue, but my budget doesn’t allow for that yet. I’ll work hard and save up so I can return to enjoy a sumptuous meal and fully appreciate the artistic creations here.
