Mianzhu Journey: Capture the essence of New Year paintings, customs, and fun in one go, and experience the charm of traditional culture

Mianzhu, located in the northern part of the Sichuan Basin, nestled in the embrace of the Longmen Mountains, with an average annual temperature of 15°C, is an ideal place for summer retreat. When it comes to Mianzhu, many people may not be familiar with it, but mention Jiannanchun and Mianzhu New Year paintings, I believe everyone will have heard of them. Mianzhu is only an hour and a half's drive from Chengdu, just in time for the Dragon Boat Festival, inviting friends to go together to experience the folk culture of this traditional festival and have a two-day tour of Mianzhu. On the first day, we first arrived at the New Year Painting Village, and stepped into this ancient village full of Western Sichuan style. Rows of buildings with white walls, green tiles, and red lacquer, simple and unadorned, are scattered in an orderly fashion, making people linger and forget to return. The tie-dyed fabrics hanging in the courtyards, with their natural colors complementing the surrounding environment, blue cloth and green trees, and the breeze blowing through, all the irritability of the hot summer is blown away. The cultural activities in the New Year Painting Village are colorful, and the girls dressed in bright ethnic costumes dance happily, making us immediately feel the vitality and passion of traditional culture. Here, embroidery and New Year paintings are symbols of cultural heritage, while dance shows the soul of culture. Next, we came to the Chinese New Year Customs Village. Here, New Year paintings, customs, and fun culture are integrated into the human landscape and village construction, presenting us with a beautiful new countryside that combines culture and tourism. Elements of New Year paintings can be seen everywhere in the village, the gates of courtyards, blue bricks, red lanterns, and the white walls are also painted with welcoming spring pictures, the taste of Chinese tradition can be felt here without the need for careful tasting, just a glance is enough to feel it. The homestays are also matched with elements of New Year paintings, full of the atmosphere of Chinese countryside. Spending some time here, one can not only evoke childhood memories but also feel the strong cultural atmosphere. On the second day, we visited 'Jiannan Old Street', a 500-meter-long ancient street designed entirely in the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The lanterns on both sides seem to be able to pull people back to a hundred years ago, and walking forward, you can see the 'Tianyi Old Brand' distillery. The ancient cellar pool witnesses the long history of 'Jiannanchun' brewing. The whole street is filled with a faint aroma of wine. Here, we not only tasted the wine but also learned about the entire brewing process. If you want to understand the wine culture here more deeply, you can go to the Sichuan Wine Museum, which witnesses the glorious development history of Mianzhu's wine industry. As time changes, the place is still overflowing with the fragrance of wine, intoxicating. In addition, we also visited the Jiulong Mountain Natural Grass Skiing Field, with a vast green grass field surrounded by mountains and fresh air.
