Western Ohio’s tallest known waterfall; Charleston Falls is a must see!

Charleston Falls Preserve, Ohio, MI, USA The tallest falls in Ohio originates from a small underground spring, the stream creating the falls plummets almost 40 feet into a small gorge. The hike through the woods is relatively short and it's on a trail through a beautiful wooded area on gravel and is well maintained. The waterfall was gorgeous and did not disappoint, you could see it from an observation deck at the bottom and also from at the top. We were suprised that there was a small limestone cave that you could see the hole of and was able to climb up alittle into the entrance hole but you could not go all the way through as it's fairly small and is filled with water. All of the rock formations surrounding the falls are so pretty and we followed them along a trail which then lead us to top of the creek where there's a wooden bridge and you can wander down into the water. There were several rocks to step on and cross and it was such a picturesque area. It was my children's favorite part of the park because they got to put their boats in the water and send them down stream a couple of times.
