Blackpool Bridge: A true Northern Moorland walk

Just outside the famous Yorkshire town of Holmfirth you can find yourself on a classic moorland walk that feels like you have gone back in time to a Brontë novel. The walk itself starts at Digley reservoir and climbs about 150m before steeply descending towards the bridge itself, which in the winter and after heavy rain can have a wild stream below. Twisting and turning on your return leg you can gain great views of Black Hill and Holme Moss (an infamous bike climb, featured in the Tour de France). The loop itself is around 8km and takes about 2 hours to complete.
