Escape the city

Just over half an hour from Manchester you can find one of the most stunning walks in the North of England at Wessenden Head. Park up at the free car park just off the A635 and enjoy the unspoilt nature with a number of reservoirs and viewpoints across the stunning Saddleworth Moor. The walk forms part of the Pennine way and if you’re feeling adventurous you can reach the Yorkshire village of Marsden full of independent shops and restaurants.
