The cenote's serene atmosphere and the chance to cool off after exploring the nearby ruins made for a perfect day. The shaded areas around the cenote are great for relaxing, and there are some local vendors selling snacks and drinks. Nearby, the Dzibilchaltún ruins offer an intriguing look at ancient Maya history and are definitely worth a visit.
