Beale Street, Memphis, TN

We got there Wednesday night around 11 and assumed we would find Beale street wide awake! Nope on weekends Beale street has a bed time. That’s fine, other than that first hungry night, I don’t like crowds. Get there during the day and you can walk along the Memphis walk of fame, see which names you know and learn some new ones. Weekday evenings you can go bar to bar with out much or any cover charge, listen to the lesser know artists and not have to fight for a beer. Weekends have their perks too, more people means more music, bars you missed earlier are jamming and the energy is great! Make sure you stop at BB Kings bar and meet Lucille and try the Beale street burger while you are there. My dad may have tried every rib available in Memphis I almost strictly ate that burger. #memphis #blues #music
