one of the oldest jail in malaysia

It was then being used as a juvenile school known as Henry Gurney 2. it was turned into a museum starting 2014. the museum is quite large and informative. however there’s no guided tour, we can just go around and read the infos provided. there’s a demonstration session at certain time slots. they explain the type of crime and court, and do a demo of whipping (sebatan). there is also a souvenir shop beside the museum, but there’s no specific souvenir about the jail. they also sell coffee and some meals, and you can have it at the cafe decorated like a jail (photo 10). #museum #coffee #malacca
