#malaka The Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum is located in 48-50, Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Melaka(4 min walk from Jonker Street). This gorgeous heritage shophouses (a combination of 3 terrace double storey lots) turn into private musuem was onces inhabited by a Peranakan family(Chan Cheng Siew) since 1896. Where artifacts & exhibits the lifestyle, cultural & history of a Strait-born Chinese. The house structure is long and deep, and has open-air patio within. Absolutely an amazing walk back in time through a heritage house which filled with old period architectural, craft works, embroideries, exquisite woodworks & furnitures, old photos and etc. The self guided tour is well explained by the guide book and admission fee is RM 18, Opening hours: 10am - 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
