Hanging roots

There is only one place in india where you see this hanging roots, probably very few places around the world. It takes years together, to grow these roots like around 100 years. In the early stages of them growing, they put the roots together so they bind together. On our path to this double decker root bridge which took around 3 hours of trekking, we also saw a growing root that was 50 years old. From the main city of Meghalaya, you need to take a taxi to the double decker bridge place. It's quite a famous place in Meghalaya, and everyone knows it. On going down, be prepared to hike up for 2 hours on return, that is after enjoying the water, bridge and all play around things. But there are also little shops on the way to buy stuffs, so nothing much to worry about. It was one of the unforgettable experience in the north east part of India. #leaveyourmark #urbanexplorer #indiatravel #northeast #leaveyourmark#urbanexplorer

Living in the south of India, my expedition to north already made me felt like I'm going to a different country. Like China, India also has wide variety of landscapes and so, the population thrives and overflows I believe. I took a flight to Kashmir, and hired a taxi to this place. As we decided to go to unexplored places, my athletic friend was of great help to get these places. We spent two days there in Kashmir valley. We made up the tent and was all well prepared with survival kit for two days, as temperature can drop really low there. The next day we had a nice milk tea (奶茶)at the very famous Dal lake, also we did some boating enjoying it's serene and calm beauty. The final day, we went to the Kashmiri bazaar (market) to taste some local food and for shopping maniac. It is definitely a go to place, if you are in India. #urbanexplorer #leaveyourmark #indiatravel #kashmir #himalayas #urbanexplorer
