🇯🇵 [Ehime Prefecture] Izumo Taisha Matsuyama Branch Shrine! (^^)! ⛩️ It began in 1876 when a branch shrine was enshrined from Izumo Taisha. It is located directly south of Izumo Taisha. The shrine is located in the precincts facing the main road at the western foot of Matsuyama Castle, one of the three major flatland castles in Japan, and is affectionately known as "Izumo-san of Matsuyama." The enshrined deity, Okuninushi-no-Okami, is syncretized with Daikokuten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, and is therefore considered to be the Daikokuten of the Iyo Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimage.
