Kan'yukan, a hot spring inn in Matsumoto, Utsukushigahara Onsen, Nagano

#TravelWithMe Kin'yukan is a popular hot spring inn in Matsumoto, Nagano. The bath is a semi-open-air bath with a view of the newly landscaped garden in a new bathhouse built by a palace carpenter during the renovation. You can enjoy the clear, colorless, soft water that feels good on the skin. There are books in the hallway leading to the hot spring, and I slowly open "Kogei Seika" in the lounge, which is hard to find in bookstores. I'm a fan of art historian Kanazawa Momoe, so I'm happy to be able to look at it closely. Sawada Hideo's wooden works fit very well into the space of Kin'yukan. It's comfortable to look at them. Sawada's works match the items in the inn very well, and I feel like I'm looking at a small art exhibition.
