Hokkaido: New Cherry Blossom Exhibition Garden behind Matsumae Castle

Matsumae Town is about a two-hour drive from Hakodate, Hokkaido. Matsumae Castle is famous, but the Shinzakura Sample Garden is located at the back of the castle. There are many cherry blossom trees that I have never seen before, and during the cherry blossom season, it becomes a cherry blossom tunnel. Unfortunately, when I went, it was a little early and the flowers were in bud, but the best time to go is around Golden Week. #sakura #hotelroyalpark
