Beigan Qinbi Village

I have visited Beigan Qinbi Village twice. Ten years ago, there were very few options for guesthouses in Qinbi Village, and many old houses were not repaired, resulting in few tourists. The village had a rustic and natural charm. The walls were covered with slogans from the era of anti-communist and anti-Russian sentiments, giving the place a strong wartime atmosphere. What left a deep impression on me was that it happened to be the seventh lunar month. I stayed in an old stone house, and when I got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and returned to bed, I heard the sound of ghostly crying after pulling up the blanket. It scared me so much that I didn’t dare to lift the blanket. Ten years later, I revisited Qinbi Village. Many of the old houses had been renovated into guesthouses or restaurants, and there were significantly more tourists. The options for dining and accommodation were much better than before, but the village also felt more commercialized. This time, I stayed in another newly renovated guesthouse, and I didn’t hear any ghostly cries in the middle of the night. The beach in front of Qinbi Village has fewer star-shaped sand grains compared to Nangan and Dongju.
