Mangshi's simple pleasures: renting a dress for a photoshoot! I love it!

Mangshi, a peaceful border town in Yunnan, is the only city in China named with the single character "芒" (mang). Unlike the bustling Xishuangbanna, Mangshi offers sunshine, coconut trees, and a unique blend of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors. Strolling through the streets, you'll be immersed in the rich Southeast Asian atmosphere. Many bloggers recommend photographing the Silver Pagoda after 4 pm, but my first attempt at 5 pm didn't turn out well. However, I love these photos taken at 11 am—sunshine is the best filter! If you're looking for something different than the typical Dai costumes, you can do what I did: bring a nice top and rent a Dai skirt locally.
