[Manazuru] Shitonodo Cave

[Points] ~The cave where Minamoto no Yoritomo is said to have hidden~ It is said that in 1180, after being defeated by the Taira clan in the Ishibashiyama Battle, Minamoto no Yoritomo hid himself in a cave in these areas, fled to the head priest of Hakone Gongen, and then escaped to Awa Province from the Manazuru coast. The historical site itself seems to be in two places, Manazuru and Yugawara. The name Shitonodo Cave comes from the fact that a bird called "shitoto" suddenly flew out of the cave, and the pursuers left seeing no human figures.
