Spanish candied almonds

Caramelized / candied Almonds (Garrapiñadas) are a popular local specialty that is available in Andalusia in Spain. Actually basically same way of preparing almonds can be found from some other countries in Europe (Switzerland, Germany, Nordic Counties) but to me it only feels local food in Spain and especially in Costa del Sol. There are stalls everywhere from where you can buy thse delicacies and the price is usually only a few euros per packet. Sometimes they also sell sunflower seeds or peanuts that have been made in the same way. For me, I sometimes want them so much that I end up buying a box from a stall (mainly for tourists) I just love them. So if you’re traveling in Spain just try them.
