Wat Luang Khun Win, Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai Province

Wat Luang Khun Win, located in Don Pao Subdistrict, Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai Province, is an ancient temple with a history spanning over 700 years. This temple is home to monks, novices, and nuns, with Luang Por Charan Thakkhanyano serving as the abbot. The highlight of the temple is its stunning wooden architecture and the stupa that houses the hair relics of the Lord Buddha. Wat Luang Khun Win is situated far from the community, with no access to electricity except for solar power. The temple is difficult to reach due to the lack of proper roads, which results in fewer tourists visiting. However, the temple boasts many beautiful structures, including the Ubosot of the Standing Buddha (Walking Meditation posture), the Ubosot of the Reclining Buddha (Parinirvana posture) featuring intricately carved wooden Buddha images, and the Naga staircase.
