Centennial Temple in Mae Kampong

Wat Khanthaprueksa, Mae Kampong Temple Wat Khanthaprueksa, or Wat Mae Kampong, is an ancient temple nearly 100 years old, built in 1925. The temple features ancient Lanna architecture. It features a viharn made entirely of golden teak. This temple has a chapel in the middle of the water and is surrounded by mountains. The original wooden structure gives it a sense of antiquity and natural beauty. Walking inside the temple, you'll hear the sound of waterfalls and birdsong, creating a truly beautiful atmosphere. There are two ways to reach the temple. We recommend taking the stairs. It's less steep and easier to walk.
