🇲🇴Macao | Enjoy the streets - walking guide 🚶

On my recent visit to Macau, I decided to skip the usual casinos and instead take a slow stroll through some of the city’s cultural and heritage spots. Here’s the path I walked and the gems I found along the way: 1. Estrada do Cemitério I started my walk along Estrada do Cemitério. It’s quiet, calm, and feels worlds away from the tourist-heavy parts of Macau. Walking here gave me a sense of the local rhythm of life. Address – Estrada do Cemitério, Macau Rating – 🌟🌟🌟🌟 2. Centro Comercial Teatro Capitol Next, I passed , an old cinema that whispers stories of Macau’s entertainment past. The building may not be flashy today, but it has a nostalgic charm that makes you pause for a moment. Address – Estrada do Repouso 45, Macau Rating – 🌟🌟🌟🌟 3. Governor’s Palace Continuing my walk, I arrived at the Governor’s Palace. This historic building once symbolized Portuguese authority in Macau, and its colonial architecture still carries an air of grandeur. It’s worth pausing to admire its elegant design and the history it represents. Address – Avenida da Praia Grande, Macau Rating – 🌟🌟🌟🌟 4. Albergue da Santa Casa da Misericórdia This red-and-yellow heritage building was one of the highlights of my stroll. It felt like walking into a painting—the arches, the colors, and the atmosphere were simply beautiful. Inside, art exhibitions added a creative buzz to the historical charm. Address – No. 8 Calçada da Igreja de S. Lázaro, Macau Rating – 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5. Seng Kei Congee I ended my Macau walk with comfort food at Seng Kei. Their silky white congee is humble but deeply satisfying—a true taste of local life that felt like the perfect conclusion to my little cultural exploration. Address – Rua da Tercena No. 6, Macau Rating – 🌟🌟🌟🌟
