A-Ma Temple

A-Ma Temple (A-Ma Temple) is a famous temple in Macau where people often go to pray for blessings in their careers, finances, and overall good fortune. Those who worship here often find improvements in their work and financial situations. The temple is dedicated to Mazu, the Chinese sea goddess, and is located in São Lourenço, Macau, China. Built in 1488, it is one of the oldest temples in Macau. The A-Ma Temple was established before the city of Macau itself and includes an entrance gate, a memorial arch, prayer halls, the Hall of Benevolence, the Hall of Guanyin, and the Buddhist Pavilion of Sheng Chao Chan Lin. How to worship and pray: Use incense, candles, and gold and silver paper. Then, rub a Thai banknote without the number 4 on a carved stone boat in the temple and make your wish.
