Transportation Guide from Hong Kong to Macau's Ma Kok District

Taking a ferry is the most convenient way to reach Macau Peninsula. You can board the "TurboJET" or "Cotai Water Jet" at either the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong Island, or the China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. The ferry ride takes approximately one hour to arrive at Macau's Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal. A single ticket for an economy seat costs around HKD 175. Upon arrival, you can take a taxi to Ma Kok District (fare approximately MOP 60-80, 15-minute ride) or hop on buses like AP1X or 3X to the "Ma Kok" Light Rail Station, followed by a 5-minute walk to explore the district's streets and alleys. For budget-conscious travelers, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge route is a great option. First, take the MTR to Sunny Bay Station, then transfer to the B5 bus to the Hong Kong Port. Upon arriving at Macau Port, transfer to the AP1X bus to Border Gate, then switch to buses 3 or 5 to the "Ma Kok Temple" stop.
