It is a traditional Yi festival in the Daliangshan and Xiaoliangshan areas. The Yi New Year lasts for three days. On the first day, they kill a pig and eat steaming hot pork rice, and take a sip of homemade wine. It is the satisfaction of a year's harvest. On the second day, they drink a bowl of steaming hot heart and lung soup, and take the divided pork to visit the elders and worship the sacred tree together. On the third day, they bake buckwheat cakes. They visit relatives from afar, bid farewell to the old and welcome the new, and change the horse reins. The homestay experience is amazing.
