Modern Asian Fusion food with BIB Gourmand degree.

#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck Umami by Han is a Modern Asian Fusion restaurant that combines Asian cuisine such as Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean with French cooking and plating techniques. The food here is delicate and delicate, with a complex and harmonious taste like French food, but also has a familiar Asian flavor. It is a perfect combination, guaranteed by the Michelin BIB Gourmand award that has been received for many years. This restaurant has 5 branches in 5 cities in the Netherlands: Maastricht, Eindhoven, The Hague, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam. This time, we came to the Maastricht branch. The restaurant is near Maastricht Station. The interior of the restaurant is decorated in black and white tones and purple neon lights, looking very modern and stylish. During lunch, the restaurant offers set meals, served as small plates with 2 courses per set. Choose from a variety of dishes. If you go with a group, you can order several sets to share. The set I chose was a mix of Chinese and Thai dishes, as follows: ➡️ Mango Prawns - Large prawns with bell peppers and sweet and sour mango gel. This dish is light and refreshing, similar to a salad and a spicy salad. ➡️ Lemon Fish - Crispy fried fish served with lemon and a Thai-style sauce that is not too spicy, but overall it is interesting. ➡️ Curry Lamb - Green curry lamb with a very good texture of the curry. It separates beautifully but is not too heavy or greasy. The lamb is tender and not at all smelly. Delicious. ➡️ Bangkok Prawns - Plump prawns served with a Thai red curry sauce, but the taste is soft and light like Western soup. Enjoyable to sip. ➡️ Truffel Paksoi - Stir-fried Chinese kale and shiitake mushrooms, seasoned with beetroot sauce and truffle vinaigrette, adding aroma and a refreshing sour taste. ➡️ Orange Duck - Duck breast in orange sauce, soft and tender duck meat, crispy skin, served with carrot puree and lychee gel. The taste is a little bit Chinese and a little bit Western. This dish is really amazing. I would say it is the star of the meal. #TravelNetherlands #TravelEurope

Maastricht: A charming city that you must visit

TomatoLion
Basilica of Saint Servatius

The Sanctuary of St. Serphas in Maastricht is one of the most representative historical buildings in the area, located in Keizer Karelplein, and is full of rich medieval European church style. The sanctuary’s majestic exterior, red brick walls with an elegant bell tower, stunning interior delicate stained glass and ancient stone pillars is an unmissable photo spot when exploring Maastricht. The temple has a long history and a serene atmosphere, and walking in is like being in Europe hundreds of years ago. Suggested route: Enter from the main entrance of the sanctuary, first visit the solemn main hall and feel the towering vaults and ornate altar. If interested in the history of the church, spend a moment admiring the temple’s frescoes, statues and relics, perusing each story. The stained glass windows are a must-see highlight, especially at noon when the sunlight shines through and the colors are very charming. Must-have photo spots: The steps in front of the main hall gate is one of the most beautiful photo spots, with a bell tower background, very European travel feel. Indoors, the stained glass location below the bell tower is recommended, and in front of the main altar. It is recommended to take a panoramic view of the interior of the church to record the solemn atmosphere. Sightseeing tips: It is recommended to arrive as soon as the door opens at 10:00 to avoid more crowded time and make it easier to take a net photo. The church is open year-round, Monday to Saturday 10:00-17:00 and Sunday 11:30-17:00. The visit time is expected to be 30 minutes to 1 hour is enough and can be adjusted according to your interests. Note: The church is a religious place and sometimes there will be religious ceremonies. Avoid flashes when taking photos and respect the atmosphere of the scene. Maastricht St Serphas Temple, suitable for travelers who like historical architecture, religious culture and taking beautiful photos, easy and simple itinerary, highly recommended to put in the Maastricht city center sightseeing route.
