Autumn in 🇫🇷 Lyon: A City Painted in Colours 🍁🍂

Lyon in autumn is nothing short of magical. The crisp cool air and the vibrant hues of red, orange, and yellow leaves made this trip feel like stepping into a painting. It was the perfect time to explore this historic city, with temperatures just right for strolling the charming streets. The Charm of Lyon’s Autumn Leaves As I wandered through Lyon’s Vieux Lyon (Old Lyon), the tree-lined streets were bursting with color. The autumn leaves seemed to glow in the soft sunlight, especially in Parc de la Tête d'Or, one of the most beautiful parks I’ve visited. With the lake shimmering in the background and leaves rustling in the breeze, it was a perfect setting for a peaceful afternoon walk. The Crisp Air & Cozy Cafés The temperatures were just cool enough to enjoy wearing a cozy scarf, but not too cold to stop exploring. The crisp air made for perfect walking weather, and I loved ducking into the quaint cafés scattered across the city to warm up. Whether sipping a hot chocolate or a cup of espresso, it was the ideal way to take a break and watch the world go by. Exploring Lyon’s Streets I took full advantage of the cooler weather and explored Lyon’s historic districts on foot. The Presqu'île district is filled with stunning architecture, and the traboules (hidden passageways) in Vieux Lyon were even more enchanting with the autumn glow peeking through. The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière provided incredible panoramic views, with the city unfolding in front of me, surrounded by the colorful foliage of the hills. Lyon’s Fall Flavors Autumn also brought a change in Lyon’s cuisine. I indulged in hearty Lyonnaise specialties like quenelles and saucisson, which were perfect for the season. For dessert, the city’s famous chocolate and pastries were a must-try, especially in cozy patisseries where the aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air. Overall Lyon in autumn is a beautiful blend of stunning scenery, rich history, and delicious food. The colors of the season combined with the crisp weather made it a perfect time to explore and enjoy everything this city has to offer. If you’re looking for a fall destination in Europe, Lyon should be at the top of your list! #lyon #autumninlyon #fallineurope #vibrantcolors #wanderlust #frenchadventure #CaféCulture #lyonnaisecuisine #autumntravel #cafeculture
