I accidentally stayed at one of the most beautiful hotels in the world in Lyon, France! The InterContinental Lyon Hotel Dieu opened in 2019. The building was originally the Lyon Grand Hospital, which dates back to the 12th century and was once listed as a World Heritage Site. It later became the largest private monument renovation project in French history. The hotel treats high card guests very well. It is located on the banks of the Rhone River, facing the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière across the river. It is a huge 18th-century building complex. In addition to the hotel, it also includes several shopping malls, bars, cafes, and furniture stores. The bar is on the first floor, which is actually the second floor, and the front desk is on the ground floor. I was shocked by the high dome as soon as I entered the bar! It looks like it's 30 or 40 meters high, like entering a cathedral. The room is a river view room with a wooden floor. Although it is an ancient building, it is decorated in a modern style. When I opened the closet, there was a faint smell of perfume~ Nice. Lyon is known as the capital of gastronomy, and I came here for the food. Today, I will simply unbox the hotel. I hope I will have good luck tasting the local specialties next!
