Pingxiang Wugong Mountain Scenic Area is located in the southeast of Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. It is a national scenic area, a national natural heritage site, a national geopark, and a national forest park. Pingxiang Wugong Mountain is famous for its seven unique landscapes: peaks, caves, waterfalls, rocks, clouds, pines, and temples. The most spectacular are the sunrise over the sea of clouds and the alpine meadows. The scenic area boasts the highest and largest alpine meadow at the same latitude in the world, with different scenery in each season. Spring is full of flowers, summer is lush and green, autumn is golden, and winter is covered in silver. Since the Han and Jin Dynasties, Wugong Mountain has been regarded by Taoists and Buddhists as a blessed land for self-cultivation. Many famous scholars and writers in history, such as Xu Xiake, have visited here and left precious writings.
