"There are only a few books and it's also called a bookstore?" I took a few photos and left without noticing a small staircase at the back leading to the bookstore area on the lower level. There are not many books in the bookstore, but Pioneer maintains the quality of its book selection as always, including many books related to the Nu River. Xiangyangpo is a Lisu village that has just emerged from poverty. It has a beautiful and clean environment. Several beautiful B&B buildings and several small restaurants have just been built. I don’t know how beautiful it would be if I could stay here for a few days, sleep until I wake up naturally every day, open the curtains and see the sea of ​​clouds, sit on the balcony for a while, eat slowly, and then drink a cup of coffee and pet the cat. Touch the dog and think about what you want to do today. Then slowly wander to the bookstore, choose a seat by the window, find a book you like, feel like you are floating in the sky, read a few paragraphs at random, the words flow across the sky, and watch the sun unknowingly float in the sky. Moving between cities, a day passes. The store played lively music by the Carpenters, and then Dylan songs, a good selection. I made up a story in my mind. In such a lonely bookstore on the top of the mountains in this borderland, there was a young local clerk who played his favorite songs from more than thirty years before he was born. I asked the girl at the counter whether these songs were her own favorites or whether they were all selected together. She said that the store had a fixed repertoire planned, which poured cold water on my self-esteem and reflected on whether I had too strong a sense of gaze. Behind the counter is still the famous saying from Pioneer Bookstore: Stranger in the Earth. The girl at the counter said she was from Zhangzhou, Fujian. After coming to Pioneer, I first went to Fujian, then to Yunnan, and then to here, less than a month ago. She probably never thought that one day in her life, she would go from Zhangzhou, which is close to the sea, to the mountains on the border and guard a bookstore alone!
