Nujiang River: A magnificent journey to explore the pristine secrets

Nujiang River, a large river in southwest China, runs through high mountains and canyons, retaining its original natural features. During this trip, I chose to stay in a homestay in Bingzhongluo. The room is built by the river. When I opened the window, I could see the rushing water of Nujiang River and the towering snow-capped mountains in the distance. The morning here is shrouded in morning mist, and the sun shines through the clouds and sprinkles in the valley, like an ink painting. The first stop was the Stone Moon Scenic Area. This huge natural stone arch is like a bright moon in the sky, hanging on the cliff. Standing on the observation deck overlooking the Nujiang Grand Canyon, the river meanders in the deep valley, and the mountains on both sides are stacked, magnificent. Afterwards, I strolled along the first bay of Nujiang River. The river water here is green and clear, the river valley is open, and it complements Gaoligong Mountain and Biluo Snow Mountain. The scenery is intoxicating. Lunch was a Lisu specialty food enjoyed in the local village, including hand-pulled rice, pickled fish, and roasted chicken. Each dish was full of ethnic minority flavors, and paired with homemade rice wine, it added a touch of heroism. In the afternoon, I experienced the zipline across the Nujiang River. The river was surging under my feet, and the wind was whistling in my ears. In just a few minutes, it made my heart beat faster and I felt the unique wild charm of this land. At night, I listened to the villagers singing Lisu folk songs by the campfire. The Nujiang River under the starry sky was quiet and mysterious. This journey not only allowed me to appreciate the magnificent mountains and rivers of the Nujiang River, but also to feel the simple folk customs and long-standing culture here.
