Shaolin Temple + Longmen Grottoes One-Day Tour 🚩Dengfeng·Shaolin Temple Shaolin Temple was founded in the 19th year of Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty (495 AD). It was built by Emperor Xiaowen to accommodate the Indian monk Batuo for preaching. Shaolin Temple is not only the birthplace of Zen Buddhism but also the birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu. Pagoda Forest: Located at the foot of a small hill about 300 meters west of Shaolin Temple, it is a group of tomb pagodas for generations of Shaolin monks, with more than 230 pagodas, making it the largest ancient pagoda group in China. 🚩Luoyang·Longmen Grottoes World Cultural Heritage, China's largest royal stone carving art. Longmen was excavated during the water control by Yu the Great, and the legend of fish leaping over the dragon gate also occurred here. The grottoes began to be excavated during the reign of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty, flourished in the Tang Dynasty, and ended in the late Qing Dynasty. It was built over more than 1,400 years across more than 10 dynasties, making it one of the longest-built grottoes in the world. Binyang Middle Cave: The most representative grotto of the Northern Wei Dynasty, with exquisite carvings such as the "canopy" cave top and the statues of the Three Buddhas.
