Bodao Peak, formerly known as Hegao Peak, is located in Luotian County, Hubei Province, two hours away from Luotian County by the Red Tourism Highway.

Because one mountain divides two rivers (the Yangtze River and the Huai River), one mountain divides two countries (Chu and Wu), one mountain divides two emotions (folk customs and folkways), and one mountain divides two scenes (the climate and scenery are very different in the north and south), people call this mountain range lying across the Central Plains "Dabie Mountains". The Dabie Mountains are winding and stretching, and are characterized by grandeur, strangeness, danger, seclusion and beauty, but the truly unique and unparalleled one is the Luotian Bodao Peak. The scenic area has a long history and rich cultural landscape. There are still some cultural landscapes including the "Remains of the Lord Temple" from the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, the "Duzun Ancient Temple" from the Southern Song Dynasty, the "Tongluo Cliff" from the Yuan Dynasty, the "Hegao Ancient Village" from the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, as well as the "Xianqi Ridge", "Yaoqigang", "Xiema Pavilion" and "Jiuyichang" from the Ming Dynasty. 🌁 • Wollongong Wolonggang is one of the main attractions of the Wolong scenic line. It is located between the main peak and Xiguoding, with an altitude of 1,350 meters and a total length of 3,000 meters. The hill was formed from magmatic rocks of the Sinian System in the Pre-Archaean Era. Due to changes in the climate and environment, the hill has steep ridges, jagged rocks, dense pine trees, and occasional caves. The whole hill looks like a flying dragon winding in the mountain. •Tin pot top Tin Pot Top is located on the ridge behind the scenic area management office, 1,215 meters above sea level, and is composed of a huge white round granite. • Pine Located at the northern end of the Wollongong Line, it is named Beidou Pine because seven ancient pines with different shapes and postures form a huge spoon shape. •Hegaoting Located on the top of the main peak of Bodao Peak at 1408.2 meters, the pavilion is said to have been built by the Queen Mother when she was traveling. •Golden Toad Playing with Phoenix About 150 meters below the Hegao Pavilion, there are 6 long, flat stones that are naturally stacked, shaped like a baby with its head facing north and its tail facing south, opening its mouth wide and laughing towards the sky. In front of the baby, there is an ancient pine tree with curved branches, thick trunks, overlapping green leaves, and fan-shaped tips. It is like a colorful phoenix, spreading its wings and flying to the north.
