Splendid Yunnan-Guizhou | Jiulong Waterfall Cluster

The Jiulong Waterfall Cluster is located on the Jiulong River, consisting of ten natural waterfalls that meander down, forming a beautiful terraced waterfall. According to legend, the Jiulong Waterfall Cluster was formed by the struggle between a black dragon and a white dragon over the Luoping Sea, and after the intervention of the gods of wind, rain, and thunder, it became the waterfall cluster we see today. The Jiulong Waterfall Cluster has been rated as one of the six most beautiful waterfalls in China by National Geographic, and its magnificent scenery is breathtaking. The Luoping Jiulong Waterfall Cluster is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, located 22km north of Luoping County in Yunnan. Due to the special geological structure and millennia of erosion by water, a group of ten waterfalls of varying heights and widths has formed here, with a majestic and spectacular presence. Its unique viewing characteristics come from the numerous waterfalls and dense scenic spots, offering beautiful views all year round, and it is known as 'the unparalleled beauty of the nine dragons and ten waterfalls in the southern country.' The Jiulong Waterfall is the most famous large waterfall cluster on the Jiulong River, known as 'Da Die Shui' by the local Buyi people, commonly referred to as 'Jiulong Waterfall.' The ten waterfalls, whether majestic, precipitous, graceful, or gentle, are incomparable and overwhelmingly beautiful. Every year on the second day of the second lunar month and the third day of the third lunar month, the Buyi people celebrate their Singing Festival and Water Splashing Festival, respectively.
