Hailuogou Great Ice Waterfall China’s highest ice waterfall, with a drop of 1,080 meters and a width of about 1,100 meters, comparable in scale to Huangguoshu Waterfall. In summer, melting ice water roars down; in winter, it freezes into huge ice formations, crystal clear and translucent. Standing on the viewing platform, you can feel the stunning visual and auditory impact. 4. Red Stone Beach A distinctive wonder of Hailuogou, the rocks on both sides of the valley are covered with red algae, turning them bright red. Primeval Forest Dense forests at altitudes of 2,000-3,000 meters in Hailuogou, dominated by fir and spruce trees, with towering ancient trees and entwined vines. The air is fresh with a high concentration of negative oxygen ions. Walking through, you may encounter wild animals like red pandas and macaques, feeling the tranquility of pristine nature. 7. Yajiageng A stunning secret realm connecting Hailuogou and Kangding, at an altitude of 3,830 meters, serving as an important gateway to Gongga Snow Mountain. It features vast meadows, clear streams, and herds of cattle and sheep. In autumn, the meadows turn golden and the forests colorful; in spring, wildflowers bloom profusely. It is a paradise for photography and hiking. 8. No. 4 Camp The highest point in Hailuogou, at about 3,600 meters, accessible by cable car. The camp offers a broad view to fully appreciate Gongga Snow Mountain, the Great Ice Waterfall, and the entire glacier. Moxi Ancient Town The gateway ancient town to Hailuogou, founded during the Han Dynasty, preserving Sichuan-Western style residences from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and a French-style church. The town nestles by the mountains and water, with streets paved in bluestone and surrounded by green hills. It is a place to rest while touring Hailuogou, offering a rustic and peaceful atmosphere. 10. Yanzi Valley The "sister valley" of Hailuogou, famous for its pristine ecology and red stone scenery. The valley has babbling streams and dense forests, with a larger and more vividly colored Red Stone Beach. You can also enjoy distant views of Gongga Snow Mountain’s branches.
