A wonderful museum for adults and children!

We had heard great things about the famous Transport Museum so we decided to take a trip there. Firstly Lucerne is just stunning and the museum is situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Lucerne so it’s worth taking in the view before entering the museum. Second, if you want to see and experience all the exhibits, plan to spend a full day there. Divided into water transport, air and space travel, cars and trains (separate from the cinema, planetarium and chocolate adventure, which are available at an additional cost), the aviation museum is fascinating and fun – a comprehensive look at the history of air travel over the last century, with the highlights covering trips in the 1950s and 1960s. Train Museum You can find the complete story of Swiss locomotives to date, full-size as well as models in various scales, most of them in working condition. The Automobile Museum is also worth mentioning. The cars are exposed in a very specific way in the high-bay storage area. You can select the model you are interested in on the screen, and the robot will then take the model off and place it on a rotating platform with a full story on the screen with technical details. Nearly every exhibit has a range of age-appropriate interactive activities.
