Climbing up the narrow staircases to the top of the gate provided impressive views of the city and its beautiful old town. Nearby, the historic center of Lübeck is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with charming cobblestone streets, Gothic churches, and the famous marzipan from Café Niederegger. A short walk takes you to the scenic Trave River, perfect for a relaxing boat tour.
