Millennium Glance at Luanzhou Ancient City

Luanzhou Ancient City, located in Luan County, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is a historic ancient city. Centered around showcasing the culture of the Luan River, the city aims to recreate the modern history of the integration of Han, Manchu, and Mongolian ethnic groups. The ancient city focuses on the social life of northern ancient cities during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. With a predominant Qing Dynasty architectural style, it comprehensively meets various needs such as dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment, making it the premier ancient city tourist area in northern China. There is a direct train from Beijing to Luan County Station, and then you can take a bus to the ancient city. There are many homestays within the scenic area. If you are not in a hurry, you can stay overnight in the ancient city. There are also homestays outside the ancient city as an alternative. We stayed in a homestay within the ancient city during the off-season in November. The homestay was very cheap, and there were fewer people, allowing us to wander around the scenic area freely. When tired, we could return to the homestay to rest for a while. The ancient city has many local snacks and restaurants, with Qizi Shaobing being a local specialty that is quite delicious. Luanzhou Ancient City captures the grandeur of the mountains and the beauty of the Luan River, depicting its charm. Here, you can experience and learn about the thousand-year-old northern culture, northern folk customs, authentic northern cuisine, and traditional religious cultural areas. Visit the ancient city gate, Luan County Government Office, ancient theater stage, Bell and Drum Tower, Yue Lao Temple, Zijin Tower, and more. The Qinglong River divides the ancient city into two parts. Walking along the riverside path to explore the ancient city area, you can also stop by the riverside to appreciate the classical beauty of the ancient city architecture. The ancient city at night has a different style of beauty. Red lanterns hang high, making the night extraordinarily beautiful. The majestic and tall Zijin Tower is particularly eye-catching. The night scene on both sides of the river is the very scenery described by Emperor Qianlong's phrase 'This is Luanzhou for a thousand years!'
