Mousse Jia Hua Hot Spring Hotel, Nankunshan

🥰 Just finished a weekend hot spring trip and wanted to share my experience. We decided to go on Friday and spent the night before reading hotel reviews. We chose Mousse Jia Hua Hot Spring Hotel from the many hotels and B&Bs in Nankunshan. 💞 Price: I booked a mountain view hot spring room directly through the hotel’s official channel. After using a new customer coupon, the price was CNY 1,441 per night. Since I booked at the last minute, the price wasn’t very competitive. It’s worth noting that some websites offer hotel packages, but the price increases by CNY 300 on Saturdays. So, if you’re planning a weekend trip, it’s more cost-effective to check in on Friday. 💞 Room: Rooms with “hot spring” in the name have a private hot spring pool. Our room had two large and one small bathrobes, slippers, and toothbrushes, which is great for families with kids. Our room was on the second floor and didn’t have much of a view, just the courtyard of the first-floor rooms. The bedding was clean, but the carpet had obvious stains, which affected the experience. I woke up cold in the middle of the night and found that the air conditioning was set to 19°C by default. If you’re afraid of the cold, remember to set the air conditioning temperature before going to bed. 💞 Hot spring: The hotel claims that both the hot spring area and the room pools use natural spring water. I learned that there are 44 pools in the public area, which is on the second floor. You need to wear a swimsuit to enter. I didn’t go to the public pools, but my partner said they were nice and had many pools with different effects and marked temperatures. 💞 Dining: We only had the buffet breakfast included with the room. The restaurant is large and has a wide variety of food, but the taste is very average. There was nothing worth recommending. The hotel is in a remote location, more than 10 km from popular restaurants. The road conditions are poor at night, with many sections having no street lights and bumpy surfaces. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re not driving. 💞 Other: The hotel is quite new, and the outdoor pool is nice, making it suitable for families with kids. We also rented a tandem bike. There’s a farm, auditorium, pavilion, swing, and more near the hotel. It’s nice to ride slowly, feel the breeze, and enjoy nature. Just don’t go too far, as it’s downhill on the way out, and you might have to push the bike uphill on the way back like we did.
